Important Fluoride Disclaimer

As a biological dentist, I do not advocate the use of fluoride in dentistry due to the known toxicity of fluoride compounds and the adverse risk/reward benefit for reducing tooth decay. There are quite simply better ways to reduce tooth decay. I especially do not advocate fluroide supplementation or flouride addition to the water, as systemic ingestion of fluoride has been associated with myriad heath concerns.

Unfortunately a small portion of my web site is out of my control at this time and includes articles that are written by my web providers that are intended for general dental practitioners. Until this problem can be corrected, please disregard any references on my web site that advocate fluoride use in any form, especially references to fluoridated water or supplemental fluoride, which I absolutely reject. Biocompatible Dental Care

It is important that materials used to restore the mouth are safe and biocompatible. Dr. Banks has avoided the use of mercury containing dental fillings for over 30 years and was one of the first dentists in this area to recognize the dangers of mercury containing fillings and provide his patients with viable alternatives.

As a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, Dr. Banks has received training in the safe removal of mercury fillings, with precautions to protect both his patients and staff from mercury exposure.

All treatment rooms are equipped with special air ionizers to quickly remove mercury vapors, bacteria, viruses, and other pollutants from the working area. In addition, Clean Up aspirators are used with alloy removal to further protect patients from harmful mercury vapor when amalgam fillings are being restored.
